A mutual friend of Dave and I, Marc, has this beautiful Golden retriever named Vino. The great thing about Vino, other than his calm and gentle nature, is the fact that this dog LOVES beer and loves hard liquor. Marc and his family let Vino indulge in fine whiskey and refreshing beer on occasion and this dog seems to really enjoy drinking! (too bad they don't let dogs in bars!)
Inspired by Vino's love of booze I offered a can of beer to Arrtoo on a whim, and like me, he quite dislikes the taste and smell of beer. He had the same opinion of whiskey. However, I've found that Arrtoo likes wine! So on the rare occasion I'll pour some in his water dish as a treat. Perhaps this will come in handy on those cold, lonely winter nights he spends outside...
