New Puppy

Carrie saved a life last week. She got herself a little mutt and gave it a good home.... our home.
This is Barnie (female), and thus far she's been what every puppy is at first: a pain in the ass. For a week we had to keep her indoors because she hadn't gotten her shots yet. Its always a task, teaching a puppy not to pee in the house. Plus she has major separation anxiety issues. After she starts to live outside things will be better because we wont have her using the house as a bathroom and then Arrtoo can keep her entertained outside.
The top picture is one of Arrtoo being a jerk and stealing Barnie's favorite toy. She's so young and takes it too serious when he tries to play with her. Barnie ended up biting Arrtoo pretty good that night, which he probably deserved. I'm just so glad that he has such a good temper and never struck back. He would just turn and bump her out of the way with his butt if he saw her about to attack. It was really quite funny.

Green Thumb

Just Like Grandpa!
Above is a picture of the newly sprouting Oregano I planted in my mini Veggitable garden.
Below is the Tomato plant Grandpa gave me to raise. Since this picture was taken I've seen little tiny tomatoes growing on it.
Below are my favorite addition to the garden: Red Bell Pepper plants. I grew these from the seeds of a bell pepper I used in my cooking. They were growing up so nice an healthy, but as you can see, the Santa Anas gave them a rouge time and now they look terrible. I have a feeling they wont make it trough the winter.

How many is too many...

All Our Pets!
Since the beginning of August my house has been packed full with bodies... Mainly the pets. When my roommate, Carrie, moved in she brought with her 2 cats, 2 fish tanks, and a rat. Those are, of course, all indoor pets so we never feel alone anymore. On top of that we have my dog and my pet Snake added to the mix.
Here is Arrtoo and Carrie's cat Belding. He was trying to steal some of my dog's food. Belding likes to think he is the man of the house. Arrtoo doesn't pay any mind to the new strugle for power, he's always been a "let it slide" kind of dog.
Belding is a trouble maker, but he probably has the most personality of anyone in the house. Here he is sleeping on my food in the pantry. Below is a picture of Belding and Carrie's other cat, Fiddlesticks. I always thought that was a great name for a cat. I love Carrie's pets, but after living with cats I've realized that cats are not really good pets for me. I'm a fan of outdoor animals personally. Cats have too much attitude like "I run this place, you just live here".
